The world is sick of this situation and goodness knows the Israelis have been putting up with things that no other country in the world would put up with - they are rightfully fed up. How can any country such as US ever ask the Isrealis to hold back when we would never have allowed this to continue for years upon years. If Canada were lobbing missiles at US civilians just across the border, would the US just sit back and allow it? Heck no!

Failure by either side in embracing a two-state solution should result in a reduction or cessation of military and/or economic aid to that entity. No matter the shape or size of the land they are on, why won\'t the people of the West Bank and Gaza simply declare themselves independant? Not just from Israel, but from everyone? Why don\'t they say something to the effect of \"We the Palestinian people hold these truths to be self evident...and hereby take command of our destiny, our borders and our future.\" Why must the Palestinian state be born in a blood-bath rather than a real estate transaction?

Jews for 60 years. Jews had traditionally made themselves at home in their host countries and swore allegiance to those countries, but after Germany conducted the Holocaust, it was deemed necessary to create a homeland where the Jews would be in the majority of the population. Not every Jew has felt the need to leave their host country and they have remained where they are as loyal citizens. Israel is a refuge for those who have been driven out, or felt a need to be among others like themselves.
